RF (radio frequency) sealing combines
heat and pressure to weld plastic to plastic.
RF sealing is most commonly used to seal clamshell packages that are produced from PVC (vinyl). This type of packaging works well for large products, packages with multiple products, and packages that require visibility from both sides. This technology also delivers a theft deterrent package for expensive products.

Sterling has a RF machine with a 15kW generator and a 24” x 36” platform. This machine will allow us to seal large packages and heavy gauge plastic. As with all Sterling projects, we work closely with the top tooling manufacturers to provide custom sealing fixtures which allow us to handle 100% of the process.
